I rent out my loft unit at Tahoe Donner Lodge Condo Association. Our building was built in 1979 and compliant in all legal aspects of
building code. Our legal CC&Rs already place a limit on max occupancy of 6, and under the definition of bedroom if adhered to by
the proposed legislation, we would need to reduce max occupancy to 4. This new regulation is already on top of the general Tahoe
Donner regulations which regulate short term rentals and provide much of the same protections regarding noise,trash,and parking
as does the Truckee legislation. On top of that,we already adhere to our own CC&Rs specific to our building which regulate parking,
trash, and noise. I rent out my unit legally and pay TOT. This new proposed legislation conflicts with our existing CC&Rs that many of
our owners bought into already when they purchased their units and currently or in the future use as a short term rental. Special
considerations like this needs to carved out/grandfathered into the proposed legislation or the town risks a significant costly and
lengthy legal battle with property owners.
