SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Tree Committee and Parks Director have made a strong effort to establish a sound tree management program in the City of McCall. Various funding sources will commit funds to cities
which establish and recognize Arbor Day. In the state of Idaho and nationally, Arbor Day is celebrated the fourth Friday of April. This date is not always a viable tree planting date
in McCall. The Tree Committee’s meeting on March 13th, 2001, will yield a committee recommendation for the establishment of an Arbor Day date for the City of McCall, which will be recognized
annually hereinafter.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the recommendation for an annual Arbor Day for the City of McCall and authorize the Mayor to sign the Arbor Day Proclamation for
2002.
