I see no reason to have a two night minimum. It's completely arbitrary, hurts home owners who have an open day that they wish to rent,and the people they employ for cleanings,snow shoveling,and other maintenance. I have plenty of paved parking, but if I did not and public parking was available on the street, how do you plan to enforce who is and is not allowed to use it?It's either public parking or it's not,correct?I don't see any justification for banning special events?And how did you come up with the list of banned events?Are birthday parties next?This is too open ended and deserves an explanation.Also, how is a homeowner to establish the type of event and how do they then enforce the rule? It's onerous at best and an overreach in my opinion. I really don't know why you need a local contact. I've been running my STIR from all over the country and the world for the past two winters and have not had a single complaint. I have cameras on the driveway and the entryway so I can see who is coming and going. I have a internet enabled lock with separate codes for guests,cleaners, handyman,etc,so I know when they enter and exit. If there is ever a problem I call the person who can fix it; ie the propane company,a plumber,the snow shoveling crew. It's really all very easy and has never once required me to be there in person. My guests know they can call me directly 24 hours a day.
