I have two general comments. First,the requirement that a local contact person be available to deal with issues concerning a "threat
to public health and safety" is not appropriate. Given the significant amount of funds raised by the TOT,some of those funds should
be used by the town to hire trained and qualified individuals that are available to address these issues. Placing a random individual
in the middle of dealing with threats to public health and safety may result placing more individuals at risk.This role should be filled
by someone with training and paid from the revenues generated by STRs. Second,as I am sure you are aware,Truckee has a number
of HOAs.They have their own rules and regulations. Subjecting property owners to potential conflicting and uncoordinated
regulatory regimes causes confusion and would likely result in lack of compliance due to complexity. It is requested that the town
clarify either that its rules supersede and render unenforceable HOA rules or that the town of Truckee rules do not apply to those
persons that are subject to substantially similar regulations under their HOA.Thank you.
