As a full-time resident in Tahoe Donner, I strongly support the draft Truckee ordinance that addresses many of the problems we
have been experiencing in Tahoe Donner.The noise, occupancy and parking limits are important to maintaining Truckee as a
community known for its beauty and its peace and quiet.The response requirement and enforcement provisions are crucial to
ensuring Truckee remains a nice mountain town. Most STIR operators are non-locals who are unaware(or may not care)about the
nuisances caused by their renters because they are not here to experience the noise(and fireworks!!!!),the parties,the 10 cars
parked on the front lawn,the traffic,the spreading of covid during a pandemic... Only the owners of STRs have the ability to screen
and ensure that the renters know and follow the rules of a civil, responsible and peaceful community.This ordinance protects our
community and strikes a balance between our rights as homeowners and responsible STIR operators. Let's remember,we're a small
mountain town in the Sierras, not Vegas!
