I wholeheartedly urge the Town Council to adopt a strong STIR policy with substantial penalties for both the renters and owners.Also please levy sufficient funds from these operations to ensure the added impacts are mitigated and funded by the STIR operations. Further, please make sure the Town of Truckee rules are in addition to any HOA rules. At risk is our safety due to careless behavior.The tranquility of our neighborhoods due to late night noise and parties with excessive lights disrupt the entire neighborhood. Many times these renters leave lights on all night with disregard to our dark sky policies.A parking nightmare due to disregard for occupancy limits.We need consistency so that renters can better understand what is required no matter where one rents within the Town of Truckee.Since Covid we have seen repeated disregard for our environment. Trash on trails,setting off fireworks,operating B-Qs unsafely, parking so that safety personnel would have difficulty if an emergency arises.are just some of the problems. Before this behavior becomes more common-place, please take action to protect our safety and our neighborhoods.
