I just experienced being woken up at 1:30 am both Friday and Saturday night by an obnoxious loud party sponsored by renters in a
STIR in Tahoe Donner,Truckee. I think you should consider a "three strikes and you can no longer rent your home as a STR". It's
obnoxious and disrupts an otherwise quiet community. I'm personally not in favor at all of STR's, especially given that there is a
housing shortage for people who actually live in Truckee. I think that whatever rules and regulations you impose should be strict. I
don't see why renters who blatantly disregard the rules shouldn't be fined a hefty fine($500 the first time,$1,200 the second)for
flagrantly breaking noise ordinances(ie,the party is broken up by the police at 1:50 am). Put some responsibility on the renters to
behave themselves and respect our community.Also hefty fines for littering.
