SUMMARY STATEMENT: (note: this AB does not contain detailed
information due to the continuing interviews by the Golf Advisory Committee and Staff. We will provide Council additional information prior to the meeting) The Golf Advisory Committee,
in concert with staff, reviewed over 50 resumes of golf professionals and conducted interviews with those that appeared to be best suited. The sole respondent to the golf RFP was also
interviewed. Mayor Colton and the City Manager attended the interviews along with the committee and Dan Pillard. Concurrently the City Attorney developed an agreement that provides
incentives for the golf professional to increase revenues for the City and the contractor, as well as shifts variable costs such as electricity to the party with control of the expenditure.
When the interviews are complete, the Committee will provide staff with an order ranked list of acceptable candidates. Staff will attempt to negotiate an agreement with the top candidate
and continue until an agreement is reached with as high a quality contractor as possible. The supplemental information that will be provided to Council will include the resume of the
contractor and the agreement.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the selection of the new Golf Professional Contractor as presented and authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement subject
to final review by the City Attorney.
