AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
T &M ASSOCIATES / WASHINGTON AVENUE PARKING LOT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional engineering
services with regard to the preparation of a property and topographical survey for
the development ofthe Washington Avenue Parking Lot; and
WHEREAS, T&M Associates, possesses the requisite skill and expertise to
provide said engineering services; and
WHEREAS, T &M Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said
engineering services at a cost not to exceed $12,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
I. The proposal of T &M Associates for the preparation of a
property and topographical survey for the development of
the W ashington Avenue Parking Lot is hereby approved in
a total amount not to exceed $12,500.00.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. The appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized to
enter into an agreement with T&M Associates to provide
the above described services.
4. This action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:II-5(1)(a).

Dear Mayor Reiman:
As requested, we are pleased to submit this proposal for professional services to conduct field surveys to
obtain property boundary and topographic information for the preparation of outbound surveys and base
mapping for a proposed municipal parking lot along W ashington Avenue.
Land Survev and Base Mavvinl!
1.1 A topographic survey will be performed at the area located between Pershing
Avenue, Atlantic Street and the rear of tl1e buildings fronting along Washington
Avenue (Block 219, Lots 1,2,3,4, 5, 6 and 29). This survey will locate ground
features, including visible utilities.
1.2
An outbound boundary survey and legal description of Lot 29, Block 219 will be
prepared. The survey will be prepared in accordance with NJAC-13:40-5.1.
Standards. As an additional service, (if desired by the Borougb) we will prepare an
outbound boundary survey of Lot 6, Block219 (no charge). \ \-\-

Dear Mayor Reiman:
As requested, we are pleased to submit this proposal for professional services
for the Boundary Survey for the 1.08 acre portion of Lot 1 in Block 4, which has
been parceled for addition to the Carteret Waterfront property.
The project includes surveying services related to the project and described In
the following Scope of Services.
Professional Services
1. Land Survey and Base Mappinq
An outbound boundary survey of the ± 1.08-acre tract known as a portion
of Block 4, Lot 1. The survey will be prepared in accordance with NJAC-
13:40-5.1. Standards. Outbound property corners will be set with capped
rebars.
Deliverables: Eight (8) Copies of the Boundary Survey
2. Information to be Provided bv Client

the tract, Block 4, Lot 1 in Carteret, NJ.
