A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE ESTABLISHING
DELINQUENT RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE SERVICES ACCOUNTS AND DIRECTIONS TO
NEVADA COUNTY AUDITOR FOR COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS IN CSA 7,
TAX AREA 03
WHEREAS, Nevada County Local Agency Formation Commission adopted Resolution 92-06
making determinations and approving the Proposed Incorporation of the Town of Truckee and
reorganization of County Service Areas (CSA) which required the solid waste services, rights,
parcel charges, and duties of CSA 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 19, and 35 to be transferred and
consolidated into CSA 7 and named CSA 7 as the successor Agency for Solid Waste Services for
the Town of Truckee; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee is responsible for administration of the Solid Waste
Franchise Agreement; and
WHEREAS, as part of the ongoing process for administration of the Solid Waste Franchise
Agreement and in accordance with Title VI, Section 6.06.020 of the Town of Truckee Municipal
Code it is necessary to hold a public hearing and determine that the delinquent accounts for
residential solid waste services as identified by Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal Inc. are correct;
and
WHEREAS, notice of public hearing has been provided, oral and written presentations made
and received, and the required public hearing regarding the delinquent accounts for solid waste
services has been held; and
WHEREAS, property owners have been provided notice by Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal
and the Town of Truckee that the accounts listed in "Exhibit A" are delinquent and subject to
inclusion in the assessment roll against the property; and
WHEREAS, The Town of Truckee is requesting the Nevada County Auditor to include the
amount for each parcel as identified in "Exhibit A" in the assessment roll against the property; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has authorized the Nevada County Auditor to collect the
delinquent amount for each property as identified in "Exhibit A" which shall constitute a lien upon
the real property.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TRUCKEE, that it is requested that the Nevada County Auditor include the charges for delinquent
accounts
The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Vice Mayor Henderson, seconded by
Council Member Polivy, at a Regular Meeting of the Truckee Town Council, held on the
22nd day of June 2021, and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Vice Mayor Henderson, Council Member Zabriskie, Council Member
Romack, Council Member Polivy, and Mayor Klovstad.
NOES: none.
ABSENT: none.
