SUMMARY
STATEMENT:
The McCall Skateboard Park Association is a group of local concerned citizens who wish to develop a skateboard park in McCall. The group has met with the City Manager, Recreation
Director, and Grant Coordinator to discuss the proposed plans and has asked for assistance from City staff in the area of planning and fundraising.
The Tony Hawk Foundation grants
funds for park design and construction. The Skateboard Park Association has contacted a design company and has received a proposal for design costs of $8150. The Recreation Director
has obligated some funding toward design, but additional funds are needed. An application to the Hawk Foundation will be submitted for $5000 to address design costs. The grantee will
be the City of McCall, and the funds will be administered through the Recreation Department for the project design.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the grant application to the Hawk
Foundation and authorize the Mayor to sign.
