SUMMARY STATEMENT:
After advertising, at their last meeting the Library Board reviewed the three
candidates who expressed interest in the voluntary position open on the library
board, an 18-month tenure to finish Marilyn Summers term. Their decision was to
recommend to the City Council Robyn Armstrong, whose qualifications include a
great interest in community service and in early childhood education, as well as a
knowledge of community government and a great interest in libraries.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Recommended that the council accept the Library Board’s recommendation and
appoint Robyn Armstrong to an 18-month term on the board, from July, 2002 to
September 2003.
