APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT -
SLAVIN & MORSE, ESQS.
WHEREAS, the Borough ofCarteret is in need of professional legal services
with regard to the prosecution of various Alcoholic Beverage Control violations
within the Borough; and
WHEREAS, The Law Finn of Slavin and Morse, Esqs., 234 Main Street,
Woodbridge, NJ 07095, possess the requisite experience and expertise to provide
said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, The Law Finn of Slavin and Morse, Esqs., has proposed to perfonn
said services at a cost not to exceed $7,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough ofCarteret that The Law Finn of Slavin and Morse, Esqs., is hereby
appointed as special prosecutor for various Alcoholic Beverage Control violations
at a maximum cost not to exceed $7,500.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this appointment is made as a professional
service as defined by N.J.S.A. 40A:II-2(6).
