SUMMARY STATEMENT: The McCall Area Chamber of Commerce is requesting
temporary street closures for Winter Carnival. Second Street from Lenora to Highway 55 on the following dates, January 25th through January 27th and February 1st through February 3rd.
East Lake Street from Hotel McCall to Bev’s Café from January 24th through February 3rd.McCall Drug, Chevron, Bev’s, Choices, Hotel McCall and Mountain Monkey Business have given verbal
approval for the temporary street closures. The Police Department, Fire Department and Public Works Department have all reviewed the proposal and given written permission. Resolution
No. 02-2 authorizes the Suspension of the Open Container Ordinance for specified times, dates and location.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize the temporary street closures of Second
Street from Lenora to Highway 55 for January 25th through January 27th and February 1st through February 3rd and East Lake Street from Hotel McCall to Bev’s Café from January 24th through
February 3rd. Approve Resolution No. 02-2, suspension of the Open Container Ordinance and authorize the Mayor to sign. Contingent upon receipt of liability insurance and required permits
for the event.
