Who We Are & What We Do
Visit Truckee-Tahoe is Truckee’s official “tourism authority” formed in August 2020 and is funded by a 1.25% TTBID “tourism fee”, paid for by Truckee’s lodging industry on every room night.
VTT is an independent, 501c6 Destination Marketing and Management Organization (DMMO) with 1-¾ Staff and a 5-7 Member Board of Directors, including a Town of Truckee Seat.
VTT is in an agreement with the Town of Truckee to execute a 5-year (Oct 2020-June 2025) TTBID Management District Plan, that allows for stewardship programs, services and infrastructure investments, in addition to visitation promotion in need periods.

een do you or anyone know who placed the toilets up there, and dumps
summit haus? I would like to coordinate, doesn't make sense to be doing duplicate
arts.
The dumpster is there because we are ciirrPntly making rnnctn, rtinn ufzrajes to a couple of units at Summit Haus. We do not normally have a
dumpster there we would love the support of the group to get a 6 yard dumpster in place.
I do not know who placed the restrooms.

Super windy! Thanks Allison. I
met 2 families who had never
seen snow before:)
"II start the rounds mid afternoon
tomorrow:)
Sounds like a goad idea for the
summit signs. We picked up trash
on the old 40 side today - not
many people out due to the
winds but those I did talk to were
90% tourist including someone
from the Yukon!

By the way, the porta potty is
now in at Rainbow bridge
(unfortunately it also looked like
someone was camping there, so
that's what sorta-potties do...
encourage van life). And there
are THREE at Summit Haus. Still
no trash can at Rainbow bridge,
though the dumpster at Summit
Haus doesn't appear to deter
people from littering.

That great about the port -a
potty!
People are definitely using the
one at West End Beach. A guy
said it was out of toilet paper (so
I gave him some Kleenex from my
car,) hahaha. Probably the most
These are so needed for our
trailheads.
