RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GIFT OF TANGIBLE
PERSONAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS: From time to time, this community is the beneficiary ofa gift donated
towards improving the quality and spirit of its inhabitants' lives; and
WHEREAS: Athena Health, formerly of Watertown, has offered to donate a city
flag that was flown at the former Athena Health Building, located at the Arsenal
on the Charles. 311 Arsenal Street; and,
WHEREAS: This generous gift of the city flag will be used at city celebrations and
serve as a reminder of the city's long-standing friendship with Athena Health.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of
Watertown, hereby approves the Acceptance of Tangible Personal Property pursuant
to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 44, Section 53A1/2, a gift of a city flag from
Athena Health, formerly of Watertown.
I hereby certify that at a Meeting of the City Council for which a quorum was present, the
above Resolution was adopted by a vote of for, (against, and Lpresent on
November 14, 2023.
