Further clarification on my initial email. The Town is advertising the seats regardless, even if you show interest in
remining on the commission, this is a requirement. Please don’t be surprised by seeing the seats advertised on our
website or in the paper. However, we value continuity, and because we have just begun, we hope that you all choose
to stay on, but understand if you’re not able to do so. .
Also, just to confirm you understand what you are committing to, this would now be a full four-year term this
round. When we started this commission, the members casually decided who would start with four-year terms and
who would start with a two-year term. Now, with this first 2-year term expiration, you’ll have a full four years and the
other commissioners who started with a four-year term will come up on their term expirations in two more years. This
begins the cycle, so we don’t have all our commissioners’ terms expiring at the same time.

Hello Commissioners,
This email is to inform you that your terms are coming up on expiration this August. We are required to publicize/ post
the vacant seats either way, so don’t be surprised if you see the ad go out in the paper or is published on the Town
website; it is a requirement. Staff would like to know if you’re interested in staying on the commission with your
current designations. If you are, please respond to this email if you’re interested in staying on or not. Continuity is a
great thing at this stage.
Based on responses, staff will make a recommendation to Council on new candidates, if applicable, or current
commissioners that wish to be re-seated. You will not be required to submit new applications; we’ll accept your email
response should you choose to stay on. If you choose to move on from the commission, we’ll accept your email
response as direction to remove you from the commission officially, once your term limit is reached and your last
meeting would be August 2, 2022.
