You may add multiple comments by clicking "Add Additional Item for Comment" below Type: (?) * General Comment Comment* Reference Number: (Example: CC -1.A) (?) local workforce housing In review of the Land Use Element it is clear to me that it should include a definition of "local workforce" so that all the policies and incentives that are discussed that are tied to this concept can be properly applied. My opinion, which seems to be in line with the town goals indicated in the document, is that the local workforce definition should encompass workers that work for "local employers" (which also needs to be defined within this definition). An appropriate boundary for local employers would be those companies that are headquartered or have physical work space (not somebody working from home for a company that is elsewhere) within the Truckee Tahoe Unified School District boundaries. I don't think the local workforce definition should have any income limits. I believe if the incentivized local workforce housing is limited to the local workforce the pricing will be driven lower by the market. All LU actions in the Land Use element should coordinate with this 'local workforce' housing definition to make sure they target the whole workforce, not just the below 80% AMI lower income folks. Additionally, all the Plan Areas should have incentives for local workforce housing. Thank you. Do you have reference documents to upload?* Yes C) No L J
