Call to Order:
Meeting was called to order at 12:04 pm by Chair Holly Stitt.
Approval of Agenda:
Emily moved and Jim seconded approval of the agenda. Motion carried on a voice vote, with all
voting in favor.
Approval of Minutes:
Emily moved and Katy seconded approval of the August 17 minutes as published. Motion
carried on a voice vote with all voting in favor.
New Business:
Amy presented Arts in the Right-of-Way program as a potential focus for the commission. She
stated that cities implement this program to use public art for traffic calming as well as
celebrating community culture and pride. After discussion, Jim moved and Alicia seconded that
staff pursue the feasibility of an Arts in the Right-of-Way program for Jefferson City. Amy will
reach out to appropriate City departments to explore program options.

JC Parks Cultural Arts Specialist Report:
Leann reported that Chalk Art Festival was held September 11, Porchfest was held on October
3, and Art Around Town art crawl was held October 7. Both events were well-attended and
received positive feedback. She also provided an update on the Community Park sculpture
series. Adjacent was vandalized in late September and will be removed for repairs. Endure was
the second piece selected and is scheduled for installation on October 21.
Other Business:
Amy stated that jcmoarts.com should be ready to go live in the next month. She also mentioned
that officer appointments will be addressed at the next meeting.
