The Wellsburg Town Council met in regular session on February 5,
1973, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and Councilmen Fairbanks, Huisman,
Hippen, and Van Deest present.
Minutes of the January meeting were approved on a motion by Van Deest
seconded by Huisman. Carried.
The treasurer's report was accepted as read on a motion by Hippen
seconded by Fairbanks. Carried.
Huisman moved and Fairbanks seconded allowing for payment of the
following claims:

Alfred Krull, net salary

The written and signed agreement between the Town of Wellsburg and
Shiloh Township trustees for fire protection was approved on a motion
by Fairbanks, seconded by Hippen. Carried.
After reviewing bids on reroofing the library building, it was moved
by Fairbanks, seconded by Van Deest that the Banzhaf Roofing Co:, Marsh-
alltown, be awarded the contract on a bid of $975.00. Carried.
Huisman moved and Fairbanks seconded adjournment. Carried.

The Wellsburg Town Council met in spec al session on February 12,
1973, with Mayor Eckhoff presiding and all council members present.
Purpose of the meeting was to review the Proposed Curb & Gutter
Program for 1973. Councilman Hippen introduced the resolution entitled
Resolution of Necessity and moved that it be adopted. Councilman Huis-
man seconded the motion. Roll call of votes --
Ayes: Fairbanks, Hippen, Huisman, Heinrich, Van Deest
Nays: None Absent: None Carried.
On a motion by Hippen, seconded by Fairbanks, the Wayne Engineering
Co., Cedar Falls, was awarded the contract for a new dump box and hoist
at the quoted figure of $1178.00 Carried.
The liquor and beer application of Wallace Deters, d/b/a Wellsburg
Tap, was approved on a motion by Fairbanks, seconded by Van Deest.
Carried.
