AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID - SUSPECT AREA SEWER
SEPARATION & IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on July I8,200l the Borough of Carteret received sealed proposals
for Suspect Area Server Separation Project; and
WHEREAS, three (3) bids were received for said work; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bidder submitting a proposal was Star of the Sea
Concrete, of Marlboro, New Jersey in the amount of $399,950.00; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the low bid of Star of the Sea
Concrete, and has recommended that the Borough of Carteret award the contract
for the Carteret Suspect Area Sewer Separation Project to said company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. The contract for the construction of the Carteret Suspect Area Sewer
Separation Project is hereby awarded to Star of the Sea Concrete, pending
acknowledgement certification by the ChiefFinanciai Officer that funds are
available to award this bid, approval of the New Jersey Department of Labor,
Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
2. The Mayor and appropriate Borough Officials are authorized to execute the
agreement with Star of the Sea Concrete, for the construction of the Carteret
Suspect Area Sewer Separation Project pursuant to the bid specifications in ail
respects at a cost not to exceed $399,950.00.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on July 20, 2001.
