SUMMARY STATEMENT: Recognizing the need for more revenue to support basic daily operations at the current number of hours for the coming year, the Library Board of
Directors is requesting approval of a revised fee schedule. The fines will be increased to 20 cents a day, and all copies will be 20 cents a page, regardless of the machine used. Non-resident
fees would increase to $25, which is still less than the price of most books. We also propose the addition of a new fee of $2 for 15 min. or $5 for 1 hour of computer access time, to
be charged only to individuals who do not have a valid library card, as they provide no other monetary support to the McCall Public Library. Expected estimate of increased revenues:
Fines = $1,500, Copies = $800 Non-Resident fees = $1,100, Computer fee = $2,000.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 03-08 and authorize the Mayor to sign.
