Information for Applicants
Thank you for your interest in serving the Town of Truckee. Please read the following information regarding
most Board, Commission and Committee appointments.
Qualifications: For Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, and at-large committee
designations you must be a resident of the Town of Truckee and registered to vote in Truckee at the time of
your appointment. All applicants must be over eighteen years of age. Please list other interests, previous and
current employment and a familiarity with Truckee and the community that may be relevant.
Appointment: If appointed to a Board, Commission or Committee, and designated in the Town’s Conflict
of Interest Code, you will be required to disclose some financial interests. (Exemptions inlcude: reporting
your principal place of residence in Truckee, any real estate two miles outside of the Town limits and
government bonds and mutual funds.) If you have additional investments and financial holdings, information
may be obtained from the Town Clerk’s Office or the Town Attorney’s Office regarding disclosure
requirements.
