AWARDING CONTRACT FOR REPAIRS FOR RENOV A nONS TO
CARTERET MEMORIAL MUNICIPAL BUILDING
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is previously solicit bids for renovations to the
interior and exterior of the Carteret Memorial Municipal Building; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for said work was Dauti Construction Co.
in amount of $2,459,600.00; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Architect and Construction Management
Consultant have both recommended the award of the contract to Dauti Construction
Co.; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available to award a contract for said work; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
I. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized
to enter into a contract with Dauti Construction Co. for
renovations to the interior and exterior of the Carteret
Memorial Municipal Building for the amount of
$2,459,600.00, in accordance in all respects with the request
for proposal and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to Venezia Architect for
distribution to Dauti Construction Co., CCMS, the Borough
Attorney and the Borough's Purchasing Department.
Adopted this 27th day of January, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on January 28,2005.
