Truckee 2040 is incredibly important as it outlines expectations for conservation, growth and development over the next couple of decades. It is the blueprint that Town of Truckee staff and decision - makers should use to implement the community's vision for the future. As a longtime resident, I strongly believe that there are additional aspects that need to be included in the plan in order for it to reflect the vision I think this community wants to see fulfilled. Please consider the following comments as you make final decisions on the General Plan and FEIR: A place like Lake Tahoe Truckee is a complex and fragile environment, not easily described, nor easily managed. The many elements of this ecosystem, people, wildlife, trees and other plants, water, soil and insects, all must find a way to comfortably coexist. The master plan does not provide co -existence. The Town of Truckee, Placer, El Dorado and Nevada counties do not take into consideration our fragile environment. We need to slow down and appropriately manage growth. What matters most is preserving our ecosystem. Housing and money will not be worth anything if we do not realize this fact and work to conserve the place we call home. The Truckee 2040 General Plan does not include natural resources maps or even a road map to help us preserve our wildlife, sensitive habitats and other resources. These are the assets that we cherish most. I urge the Town Council Members and the Planning Commissioners to prioritize natural resources and wildlife in the General Plan. Please develop maps of our critical resource areas and then outline a strategy for how we are going to protect them. We can't move forward on Truckee 2040 without these critical pieces in place. Lori A. Graf-Campusano Thank you for your consideration of my comments. Please ensure that wildlife and wild spaces in Truckee are protected for decades to come. a-e.,iA--4------,_._
