Dear Planning Manager Jenna Gato,
The Truckee 2040 General Plan contains over 300 iden fied ac ons that need to be implemented to achieve plan goals
over the next two decades. As a Truckee resident, I’d like to weigh in on the most important ac ons to priori ze as part of
the new General Plan.
Please include the following Truckee 2040 Ac ons as priori es in your 2023/2024 work plan:
1. Transfer of Development Rights Program (LU‐1.D) 2. Town of Truckee Density Bonus (LU‐2.B) 3. Mapping of Open
Space & Natural Resources (COS‐1.C) 4. Community Wildfire Protec on Plan (SN‐6.C) 5. Emergency Planning (SN‐6.D) 6.
Climate Ac on Plan Program Cost Benefit Analysis (CAP 11.G) 7. Development Code Regula ons for Scenic Resources (CC‐
1.A) 8. West River Study (LU‐9.A) 9. Suitable Industrial Sites to Relocate Downtown Industrial Uses (ED‐5.B) 10. Vacancy
Tax Ballot measure (LU‐12.E) 11. Equitable environmental planning so that all members of our community can par cipate
in the process for town planning!
These ac ons will further goals that are important to me, such as protec ng open space, housing the local workforce,
furthering the health and safety of residents and visitors, preserving community character and scenic resources, and
improving access to the Truckee River. Thank you for your considera on.
