B The infrastructure doesn't currently exist to implement an all -electric housing stock. I design houses for a living, and I see first-hand that there isn't enough grid capacity to support even a modest number of all -electric houses. For example - I recently started building my own personal residence plus ADU in Glenshire. I was interested in using electric heating and installing an EV charger. I needed a 400 Amp service to accomplish those goals. Liberty Energy declined to provide 400 Amps to my project, saying they only had 200 Amps available at my location. I could have voluntarily upgraded Liberty's system myself, which would have cost 15k to 20k on top of the regular hookup fee. If the Town is going to require all -electric, it should not be the individual project owner's responsibility to pay for the utility provider's necessary upgrades, upgrades that the whole community benefits from.
