The Truckee commercial row is built from dirt, rock and paper. The layers inside the floors of the commercial row are exactly that.The mass and scale of the
project on Jiboom street needs an Environmental Impact Report conducted to discover how the footprint will affect the fragile structures on the row. On the
shadow it will cast as well as the new opportunity for ice to grow on the back of the buildings. The hole has served the community snow removal well. The
circulation of air and a patch of grass provides an appropriate frame for the picturesque town. The town planning should be held accountable and order an
EIR for this project prior to further discussion. I hope all may comments over the years be noted regarding the commercial row and its historic fragility.
Remembering the explosion at the Masonic Lodge. This was a result of poor and incomplete planning. I hope that the town can survive the greed of the
future.
