CALL TO ORDER
The September 17, 2010, City Council "Brown Bag" Meeting was convened at 12:05 P.M.
by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Carroll, Griffith, Koon, Medin, Penfold, and Struemph
Absent: Harvey, Pope, Scrivner, and Weber
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Public Hearings / Bills Pending:
2010 -55 (Rezoning on Flora): Councilman Jim Penfold stated he thinks the developer for
the proposed rezoning is changing. Mayor John Landwehr suggested that Councilman
Penfold get with City Planner Janice McMillan since the Council is only voting up or down
on the previously proposed project.
Councilman Jim Penfold moved to amend the agenda to hold public hearings on items (b)
and (c) before the Flora Drive rezoning as they anticipate that the Flora Drive issue will be
lengthy. The motion was approved unanimously.
2010 -65 (Amending Sidewalk Code): Councilman Jim Penfold stated that four of the five
Public Works & Planning Committee members have indicated they want to do some
additional work on this before the Council votes on it.
Resolutions:
RS2010 -30 (Funding of Sidewalk Program with Sales Tax Revenues): Councilman Jim
Penfold stated he plans to table this Monday night. Following discussion, he stated he may
withdraw it rather than table it.
