Dear Planning commission, I am writing to ask that the planning commission delay the granting of a permit for the Tahoe Donner Marina expansion project
for lack of an original CUP for the project. In 2013, an expansion project was completed for the Marina, which included a bar serving alcohol and a snack
bar. Up to that point there was no sale of alcohol. I understand that this use was again allowed as a permit application modification, rather than a CUP, as
again this was lost similar to the downhill ski lodge. Does the town now have a policy of allowing Tahoe Donner to modify usage as a permit matter rather
than codifying usage with a CUP? This seems like a double standard, as Truckee commercial permits require a CUP. In addition, parking, traffic
congestion, noise and possible future events at the location will worsen the traffic issues in the summer months for Donner Pass Road. I urge you to
reconsider granting the permit until those issues are resolved.
