SUMMARY
STATEMENT:
In March, 2002, the City of McCall submitted a grant to EDA for technical assistance for conference center development. In March, 2003, the City received notice the grant
was awarded. The original start date was to by June 1, 2003, but EDA postponed the award to Oct. 1, 2003. The funding may be used for planning, conceptual design, and other pre-construction
activities needed for the development of a convention and conference facility in McCall. It may also be used for marketing the project to potential partners and exploring funding options.
Matching
funds will be in the form of staff time (Community Development Director and Grant Coordinator) and cash from the McCall Urban Renewal Agency.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept the grant
award, and authorize the Mayor to sign the award letter.
