SUMMARY STATEMENT: The contract
between the City and the US Forest Service expired this year. Attached is the revised contract. The new contract provides for cost sharing by the USFS based on a percentage of the
Airport budget, and allows for increased based on increased costs as well as changes in the CPI. The revised conditions in the agreement provide a much more equitable cost sharing formula,
allowing the USFS to contribute a higher annual amount to the City than under the previous agreement. Under the new agreement, in the first year the Airport will receive $34,441, an
increase of $2,000 over the amount that the previous agreement specified for the same period.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the contract and authorize the City Manager to sign all
documents.
