SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Last fiscal year Council approved the project
to construct new fish pen docks in cooperation with the State. The City is funding 50% of the project costs. The project could not be completed prior to September 30, 2003, resulting
in the need to fund the project in the current fiscal year. Given we had anticipated completing the project before September 30 when we prepared the budget, we did not feel the need
to carry forward funding into this fiscal year. In order to complete the project, we must appropriate funds in the amount of $11,888.50. We have adequate fund balance to complete the
project, but must use the contingent revenue and expense line items in order to expend the funds. Those lines were designed to allow for this type of situation.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve line item transfers totaling $11,888.50 from both the Contingent Revenue and Expense line items in the Parks Department to line item #10-59-200-714.
