SUMMARY STATEMENT: Following the public comments received by the City, the City Engineer reviewed the project
and comments received. Attached are the Engineers comments and recommendations regarding the drainage ditches at Syringa Subdivision. The Syringa project was designed, approved and
constructed according to the current City of McCall Road Standards. A similar standard is employed statewide and is recommended in the Idaho Standards for Public Works Construction
(SD-802) for residential type streets. The FY 2003-2004 Streets Fund budget cannot fund any additional expense on this project, and as discussed in the Engineer’s recommendation,
design changes would not be advisable. Additionally, changes in this project would have far-reaching impacts on all other similar projects in McCall.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: No changes
be made to the project or the design standards and that the City Manager prepare a letter to the residents informing them of the resolution of this matter.
