SUMMARY STATEMENT:
One requirement of McCall's Tree City USA status is an annual recognition of Arbor Day. In 2002, the City Council accepted the Tree Committee's
recommendation that McCall celebrate Arbor Day in conjunction with the national Arbor Day, which is the fourth Friday in April each year. A small grant is available to provide funds
for a local Arbor Day recognition.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Proclaim April 25th, 2003 as McCall's Arbor Day, and approve the application for an Arbor Day grant. Authorize the Mayor to
sign the proclamation and the grant application.
