SUMMARY
STATEMENT: Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) regulations go into effect this month and require changes to our contracts with our insurance
or medical providers. This change documents that the City of McCall will safeguard information received and use it only to carry out the services within our contractual relationship
and the Privacy Policy of Delta Dental. A copy of the contract and Privacy Policy is attached as information.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve HIPAA related changes to the Delta
Dental Contract and authorize the Mayor to sign the appropriate documents on behalf of the City.
