CALL TO ORDER
The November 12, 2010, City Council "Brown Bag" Meeting was convened at 12:08 P.M.
by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Carroll, Griffith, Harvey, Koon, Medin, Penfold, Pope, and Weber
Absent: Scrivner and Struemph
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Vehicles for Hire issue: Discussion was held regarding the process and procedures for
changing this part of the Code.
2010 -89 (Surtax agreement) - Discussion was held regarding when the payments would
be made to the City each year. Mayor John Landwehr asked if the Council might consider
suspending the rules since the County Collector has indicated he would like to begin making
the payments as soon as possible.
2010 -83 (Placing lodging tax on ballot) - Discussion was held regarding deadline for
certifying it to a February, 2011 ballot and whether the Council might wish to hold a Special
Council meeting to discuss some details further before voting on placing it on the ballot.
Mayor John Landwehr shared some of the questions which had been raised at the
November 8 Work Session, and suggested if other questions come up, they should be given
to staff at least 48 hours before any Council meetings are held.
