Gas Line Repair Work at East Market and Plaza Street
Intersection Will Extend into Monday’s Evening Rush Hour
Repairs now estimated to be completed early Tuesday morning.
Leesburg, VA (January 9, 2017 | 1:30 p.m.) – The lane closures and restricted turning
movements at the intersection of East Market Street and Plaza Street in Leesburg will remain in
place through this evening’s rush hour. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
The gas line repair work currently underway is expected to be completed sometime after
midnight. Until repairs are completed, the traffic pattern changes at the intersection are:
Traffic eastbound on Market Street has no access to northbound Plaza Street .
Traffic westbound on Market is reduced to one lane and has no access to Plaza Street in
either direction.
Traffic on Plaza Street cannot travel through the intersection in either direction.
Traffic southbound on Plaza Street must turn westbound onto Market Street.
Traffic northbound on Plaza Street must turn eastbound onto Market Street.
