SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The project includes abandonment of Lift Station #9
and the Colorado St./Syringa Dr. water, sewer, and streets improvements. Bids were opened for LS#9 and Colorado/Syringa project 2:30 p.m. 5/22/03. Four responsive bids were received:
Crea
Construction, Inc. $414,501.00
Warrington Construction, Inc. $464,067.00
Masco, Inc. $504,518.55
Bodiford Construction, Inc. $519,287.55
The bid submitted by Crea, Const. Inc.,
included a Non-Collusion Affidavit that was filled out, but not signed by the company president, who was listed. As all other documents were signed as required, the formality of signing
the Non-Collusion Affidavit should be waived as that oversight by the bidder did not involve price, time or changes in the work as allowed by paragraph 19.2 of the Instructions to Bidders.
RECOMM
ENDED ACTION:
Authorize Mayor to sign Notice of Award to Crea Construction, Inc. and authorize Mayor to sign contract documents when insurance and bonds have been received. Require
Crea Construction Inc., to sign Non-Collusion Affidavit as a condition of the award of this project.
