A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO FLOOR COVERING UNLIMITED, INC. AS THE LOWEST
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,275 FOR THE NATATORIUM
RESTROOM RENOVATION PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.898;
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
~' WHEREAS, the Natatorium Restroom Renovation Project No. 4011.67.898, is
scheduled for completion during Fiscal Year 2008-2009; and

WHEREAS, Public Works staff advertized the project through Informal Bid
Process on December 15, 2008; and
WHEREAS, ten (10) contractors received project plans and contract documents;
and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the City Clerk's Office on January 6,
2009, at 6:00 P.M. and that the Director of Public Works /City Engineer has ascertained
that Floor Covering Unlimited, was the apparent lowest responsible bidder for its base
bid of $36,275; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the Natatorium Restroom Renovation Project,
~, Project No. 4011.67.898, be awarded to Floor Covering Unlimited for its total bid of
$36,275.

Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City Council of the City of Lynwood and Floor Covering Unlimited.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
