A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF ONE ADDITIONAL SURVEILLANCE
CAMERA IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,091.70 UNDER THE EXISTING CONTRACT
WITH LEVERAGE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE ADDITIONAL PURCHASE
WHEREAS, the City Council, on October 7, 2008, awarded the Surveillance
Cameras Purchase and Installation Contract in the amount of $235,982.84 to Leverage
Information Systems; and
WHEREAS, the contract provided for the purchase and installation of ten (10)
surveillance cameras at various major arterial intersections to monitor criminal activities;
and
WHEREAS, the City has recently received Edward Byrne Memorial Justice
Assistance (JAG) Grant funds in the amount of $23,884 for the purchase and
installation of one (1) additional surveillance camera; and
WHEREAS, a contract amendment in the amount of $20,091.70 needs to be
issued in order for Leverage Information Systems to install the additional camera.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the issuance of a contract
amendment in the amount of $20,091.70 for the Surveillance Cameras Purchase and
Installation Contract with Leverage Information Systems.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to execute said additional
purchase.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
