A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE CORNISH AVENUE STREET CLOSURE FOR A BLOCK
PARTY ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2009
WHEREAS, a request was made by the residents of Cornish Avenue to
close a portion of Cornish Avenue (between Imperial Highway and Abbott Road);
and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the closure is to celebrate the recent street
improvements and show their appreciation to the city, the contractor and all
involved; and
WHEREAS, the residents of Cornish Avenue are requesting the street
closure for Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approve the street closure for this
celebration with no waiver of permit fees and the provision of no City of Lynwood
assistance beyond the basic requirements for the street closure subject to all
conditions being met.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
