CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
SPECIAL MEETING
JULY 25, 1972
COUNCIL MINUTES
INITIATION:
1. Mayor Briggs called the special meeting of the City Council
to order at 7:50 p.m. in the north meeting room of the City
Hall.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen - Dennis, Gilbertson, Merritt, Briggs
Absent: Councilmen - Tyrell
Also Present: City Manager Koski, Planning Director Dragicevich
Councilman Merritt moved to excuse the absence of Councilman
Tyrell for cause, seconded by Councilman Gilbertson and carried.
Councilman Tyrell arrived at the meeting at 8:45 p.m.
OLD BUSINESS:
3. PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE: Re. Permitted
Uses in C -2 and M -1 Zones; Deletion of C -M Zone; and Rezoning of
C -M to C -3 (Resolution No. 72- 462PC).
Council considered recommendations from the Planning Commission
set forth in Resolution No. 72- 462PC,. and Public Hearing held
July 6, 1972, which Public Hearing had been closed. After
extensive review and discussion of the uses in the various zone
classifications, during which time several amendments were
suggested, on motion of Councilman Tyrell, seconded by Councilman
Merritt and unanimously carried, the matter was referred back
to the Planning Commission for review of the recommended changes.
4. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Briggs declared the meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m., and
called for a Study Session of the Council.
Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, August 1, 1972,
at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
