SUMMARY STATEMENT: Given the uncertainty regarding the exact timing of finding a replacement for our City Prosecutor, it would be prudent
to transition the functions to MSB&T now, while we continue the search process. Given we have an existing relationship with them as our City Attorney, it should ease the transition.
MSB&T are prepared to assume the additional duties and have attorneys with prosecution experience on staff.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Direct the City Attorney to coordinate with the
City Prosecutor to hand over all outstanding criminal actions.
