ORDINANCE NO. 1-/ d- 0
AN ORDINANCE INCORPORATING BY REFERENCE THE
"INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE," 2003 EDITION, AS
AMENDED BY SEDGWICK COUNTY RESOLUTION
NUMBER 201-2004 AND REPEALING ORDINANCES
NUMBER 9,83,187,223 AND 277.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1. Incorporating International Fire Code
There is hereby incorporated by reference, for the purpose of prescribing regulations
governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire and explosion, that certain
code known as the "International Fire Code", 2003 edition, including appendices B, C, D,
E, F, and G, and the International Fire Code Standards, published by the International
Code Council 5203 Leesburg Pike, Suite 600, Falls Church VA, 222041, as amended by
Sections I of Resolution Number 201-2004 of the Board of County Commissioners of
Sedgwick County, Kansas and amendments thereto. No fewer than three (3) copies of
said International Fire Code, Sedgwick County Resolution Number 201-2004, and
amendments thereto shall be marked "Official Copy as adopted by Ordinance No.
'1-2 D ," to which shall be attached a copy of this Ordinance, and filed with the City Clerk
to be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours.
Section 2. Repeal
Ordinances Number 9, 83, 187, 223 and 277 are hereby repealed. All other
ordinances or parts of other ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed. However, any
section of an existing ordinance not in conflict herewith is not repealed and remains in full
force and effect.
Section 3. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the
official city newspaper.
