AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
CORPORATION OF NATIONAL SERVICE
WHEREAS, the Corporation for National Service has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) desires to submit a grant application to expand the volunteer base providing literacy assistance to individuals
in our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
RSVP is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Corporation for National Service to expand the volunteer base to provide literacy assistance to individuals in our community.
RSVP is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Six Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-eight Dollars ($6,288.00)
Said funds, if awarded shall be appropriated to expand the volunteer base providing literacy assistance to individuals in our community
Passed and adopted this 19th day of March, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
