SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The results of the November 2,
2004 Special Election for Local Option Tax are as follows.
1429 Total Number of Votes Cast
1102 In Favor (77%)
327 Against (23%)
Idaho Code 50-1046 requires that a 60 percent
majority of voters approve a local option non-property tax measure. The measure has achieved the 60% requirement and may now be adopted. Attached is the summary report of the election
and Resolution 04-16 which the City Clerk submits for Council action.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Proclaim the election results final and Adopt Resolution No. 04-16.
