The City Manager stated that the $25,000 could be used to fund the majority of the one time costs and personnel costs presented by Dan Pillard. Those items total $28,500. There was also discussion of forming a team to work on the Golf situation and look for long term solutions. Subsequent to the meeting, staff clarified the suggestion regarding this team and proposed the formation of a Golf Action Team comprised of the City Manager, Two City Councilmembers, the Director of Golf Operations, and the Golf Professional. This action team would be a temporary group with equal voting authority. The City Attorney will be asked to meet with the team to define those items that would require special action given the existing contract, the duties of the City Manager and Director of Golf, and the City Council. The concept would be for the group to take a team approach to improving all aspects of the course, and establishing a long term action plan for the operation.  RECOMMENDED ACTION: Transfer $25,000 from the Council contingency as a loan to the Golf fund to be used as determined by the Golf Action Team. Endorse the Golf Action Team concept and designate two Councilmembers as members of the team. Council Members Bertram and Robertson designated to be members of the team.
