City of Jefferson Code Review Steering Committee
March 30, 2021

1. Call to Order
Meeting was called to order at 9:05 am
2. Introductions
Members introduced themselves.
3. Steering Sub-Committee expectations-what is expected from the sub-committee?
Steering committee’s role is to gather recommendations from the sub-committees and present a
recommendation to City Council for adoption and amendments of the 2018 Codes.
4. Technical Sub-Committee assignments-chair, vise-chair, members
Paulette Kreter has withdrawn her name from the committee. Jim Crabtree has been asked to the
vacancy on the Steering Committee. Bruce Dawson will serve as Vice-Chair of the IRC/WUIC/ISPSC
Committee.
5. What Format of the codes will the Technical Sub-committee need?
Steering Committee members already have materials needed. Sub-Committee needs will be discussed
at their first meeting.
6. New Business
The committee discussed the absence of a commercial energy code and the potential impact adoption
of the IECC may have on future development. The discussion included comments on the impact
COVID-19 has had on fresh air considerations. Fresh air installation are still emerging with the City’s
recent adoption of a mechanical code.
