Call to order Meeting was called to order at 3:05p.m. Member introduction. 2. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes May 5th, 2021 minutes were approved by committee. 3. Old Business N/A 4. New Business IRC Changes and Amendment Review – Chris read each Ammendement as outlined in the agenda. a. R403.1.3.3 - Slabs-on-ground with turned-down footings- Discussion of changes. Chris suggested to leave as is ,with new changes that were made. All members present, agreed. b. Table R403.3(1) – Insulation Requirements for Frost-Protected Footings c. Table R403.4 – Crushed Stone Footings d. R404.4 Retaining walls. – Brian dicussed the height changes for retaining walls. e. R408.3 Unvented Crawl Spaces f. Table R505.3.2 – Cold-Formed Steel Joist Spans g. R507 – Decks – Discussion of Changes made pertaining to decks and what’s included h. R507.2 Deck Materials i. R507.3 Deck Footings j. R507.4 Deck Posts k. R507.5 Deck Beams l. R07.6 Deck Joists m. R07.7, R507.8, R507.9 – Decking, Vertical and Lateral Support Emad suggested that we create a flyer, to be proactive, pertaining to Decks-By Code(American Wood Council Deck Guide), to put at locations that sell deck supplies and were permits are issued. Chris suggested that Code R404.4 -Retaining walls, be moved to Old Business for next meeting. Chapter 3 wil be discussed at the next meeting . Suggestion was made to invite House Builders to next meeting 5. Public Comments- N/A 6. Next meeting date – Wednesday, June 16th at 3:00 p.m. 7. Adjourned at 4:33 p.m.
